Chronic Fatigue Syndrome sucks.
It’s one of those illnesses that most people find hard to understand, because on the face of it, it seems like we’re just a bit tired.
Sadly for us, it’s way more than that with ME/CFS.
Around 250,000 people in the UK suffer with ME/CFS and there are varying levels of severity; from people just about managing to function to those completely bed ridden.
To give some context to my story, I was only diagnosed a few months ago, but have been suffering for around five years. In the last year or so, it got progressively worse – to the point I’ve had to give up weight lifting, curb my social life, and watch relationships suffer. Quite simply, it really does suck.
