We’ve heard many times from Teva’s Lift MS Facebook community that traveling with multiple sclerosis isn’t always easy. It’s for that reason that we’re focusing this round of the Lift MS Tips and Tricks series on ways to help make traveling a little more manageable. Whether you’re going by air, boat or car, we hope these tips will help ease your travels.
- Bring snacks and stay hydrated. No matter how you are traveling, it’s important that you stay hydrated and snack as needed. Our kale chips and peanut butter balls are easy to make and can help keep you satisfied. Find the recipe here if you are interested in making them for your next trip.
- Make them match. If you are planning on flying, make sure the name on your prescription label matches your photo ID. According to the Transportation Security Administration (TSA), it is recommended that medication be clearly labeled to facilitate the screening process.
- Inform the TSA. The TSA also requires security screenings for all medications. Be sure to inform the TSA ahead of time if you are traveling with any medication in your carry-on luggage.
